Our work

A thick stack of papers in an open blue lever-arch file, the top page headed "M10 EP – Lara Wong": Lara Wong’s evidence bundle for Module 10 of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.

Since 2020 we’ve been meeting with MPs and decision-makers to share our members’ unique perspective, knowledge and research. Here’s what we’re working on right now.

What we’re working on

Our focus areas

  • Focus area

    Voting Accessibility

Our evidence changed Electoral Commission guidance: polling stations are now advised to provide masks, ventilation and air filtration. We’re auditing every election to check it’s working.

  • Focus area

    Clean Air

Clean indoor air is now recognised in statutory school guidance as a core asthma control measure – a direct result of the evidence our members shared.

  • Focus area

    Schools & Attendance

We’re gathering experiences from parents and carers about how 100% school attendance expectations affect Clinically Vulnerable children’s wellbeing and health.

  • Focus area

    UK Covid-19 Inquiry

We have been a Core Participant in the Inquiry, giving evidence on behalf of our members and pressing for legal protection for Clinically Vulnerable people.

  • Our evidence

    Reports

Our reports are built from surveys, audits and the lived experience of our community, and go to decision-makers, regulators and Parliament.

How we work

Behind everything we do

Research

We are the leading source of data on Clinically Vulnerable people and households across the UK – nobody else collects it. We run regular polls and surveys and share what we learn with decision-makers, researchers and the media.

Education

Since Lara Wong, a former science teacher, founded CVF in 2020, we have shared accurate, up-to-date science in a way that helps families assess and reduce their own risks.

Support and wellbeing

Mental health matters to our community. Our online support community runs weekly online meet-ups, and since 2020 a weekly check-in post to talk about current issues and personal experiences.

Join our community

Meet our legal team

We have held online meetings for people in Clinically Vulnerable households to discuss our work at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, and will hold two more in early 2027 to go through the final reports. Dates are posted on our news pages and in the Facebook group.
